Bichon Frise grooming
Some supplies that you will need on hand to groom your Bichon Frise are 10” straight edge scissors, a metal comb and a pin brush.
In starting the grooming process, completely brush and comb your dog to be sure there are not mats or tangles. Once the mat is wet during the bath, it will tighten and become impossible to remove. Now you will need to bathe and dry your Bichon thoroughly. Clean hair trims more efficiently without causing damage to your scissors. Soiled hair will not cut evenly and dulls the scissors.
After the bath, get your dog on the grooming table or a steady surface in your home. Begin behind the neck of your dog, all along the back to the base of the tail and back brush your dog completely to raise up the hair. Back brushing simply means brushing the fur against the growth. Now you can start trim your dog!
